Everything people ask before starting

No. The whole service is designed around email and your client portal — you'll never need a call or a meeting to get a website live. But we're a real local business, not a faceless platform: if you'd ever rather talk something through, or meet for a coffee in Burton before you start, just say so in an email and we'll sort a time. Optional, always.

Content changes to your existing pages: new text, prices, photos, opening hours, team members, menu items, offers — that sort of thing. Send as many as you like under our fair use policy. Bigger jobs like whole new sections or a redesign are quoted separately, always in writing first.

Your domain name is always yours — registered in your name, and you keep it if you leave. After 12 months of subscription, the website design and content we've created transfer to you as well (or you can buy them out earlier). Worth being clear though: the monthly fee is what keeps the site hosted, secure and updated. If you take the site away, that service ends with it — you'll need your own hosting and someone to look after it. We'll hand over the files and help you move; we just can't host it for free.

Most sites launch in around two weeks. Your first design usually lands in your inbox within five working days of signing up, and how fast we go from there mostly depends on how quickly you can review it.

Give us 30 days' notice by email — no phone calls, no retention scripts. We'll hand over your domain and give you a full export of your content. No exit fees.

Really. You pay your first month by Direct Debit and we start work. No setup fee, no design fee, no surprise invoices.
